Who Are They

School Support Solutions provides primary school teachers and support staff with training and support to deliver a higher level of education and care.

What They Needed

School Support Solution wanted to keep their existing design and layout but expand on their site’s functionality. Their existing site had resources and training on it, but access was somewhat limited. They also wanted to add the possibility of event bookings onto the site, which was impossible with their previous framework.

We made sure to give users multiple options to view projects how they want to see them.

What We Did

We knew that their website’s initial framework was not suitable for what School Support Solutions required for their future growth, so we translated the website into WordPress.

Most of our work on this site was in the background, adding additional functionality to the site. We built a members’ area which was accessed with our magic login system as opposed to traditional email/password logins. This guarantees a much higher level of security for the website.

The login system was custom-built for the client, expanding over normal use cases to achieve different functionality. We gave the client the ability to group users by school to better monitor usage. This was also provided to the users of the website, so that each school could nominate a ‘super-admin’ to manage users within their group.

The login area of the site includes training modules, downloadable documents, member updates and an events booking system. To compliment this, we also created an email system that could be used to send news and event updates from the site directly to users in an email. This was built from scratch specifically for this client to save time and money of using third-party email programs.
